Resulting in a total (in minutes) of...

That is to say, about 752 hours or... 31 days and 8 hours. In barely over a year!

the biggest issue I have with datv, a game I am loving very much, is that the soundtrack is a big old nothingburger. the most background of backgrounds. empty orchestration without any noticeable theme or major variation. decent music to stick in the background and work. it's very uniform, doesn't draw too much attention to itself, gets a job done.

I'd notice it more if the game were entirely silent. I'd notice it more if the ost were outright bad, which it's not. but it's just...

boring.

where's my spooky mysterious fade music? inquisition themes for harding or kirkwall themes for varric? the woodsy ancient murder music of arlathan? romantic guitars in antiva, the most italian assassins of nations? electric guitars and imperial military for tevinter, speaking to the empire's advancements and control? rivain has drums I guess, but where's my pirate music? hans zimmer you and klaus bedalt did pirates of the caribbean, THE quintessential modern-day pirate soundtrack! how can you not write a swashbuckling pirate theme!!!

I miss inon zur :((( he hasn't worked on dragon age since da2 but I miss him a lot

Listening to Hyperdrama by Justice be like Not iceberg or soul eater related (besides a cameo), but still put effort into making this and I am "proud" of it unlike of low-effort memes, so thats why I'm sharing this, even considering this blog is mostly retired. Worm Army

2:38 Ya'll prolly got better ears than me, but with headphones you can hear unison claps  at certain points with the drums in the background. It's like every other loop of the chorus. It's so primal.

This specific album is a bizarre fusion of Prince of Egypt, Man of Steel, DARK Phoenix' unreleased Xperiments album and Gladiator.

This particular piece has Man of Steel's unreleased score all over it. Cinema.

i was just trying to record this beautiful night theme when this tonal shift happened (around 01:05) oh my god

on another note, the latter part has a very "dune" (2021) vibe, the percussion in particular, and even harmonically
